Downhill Skiing
Breuil-Cervinia, (2050m) a modern tourist resort at the foot of the Matterhorn, offers an impressive ski area.
In the setting of the "most noble rock in Europe", 130 km of slopes branch out connected with Valtournenche for a total of 27 lifts and an international connection with Zermatt, via the Cime Bianche Laghi - Plateau Rosà cable car and the Bontadini chairlift for a total of 350 km of slopes guaranteed by 59 overall facilities for a total hourly capacity of 78,782 people. From Plateau Rosa you can descend towards Zermatt, or take the Ventina slope: 11 km of descent from the 3480m at the start to the 2050m of Cervinia. The Cime Bianche Laghi area (from where the 140-seater cable car to the Plateau Rosa leaves) offers other beautiful descents served by the Goillet which is the gateway to the Valtournenche area. The Carosello domaine has routes among the pines that refer to the Cieloalto chairlift. For relaxing skiing at Plan-Maison there are convenient facilities (including the four-seater chairlifts with the protective dome of Plan Maison, Fornet and Bontadini) serving slopes, also connected to Plateau Rosa, for all tastes and everyone the levels. With a ski connection from Plan Maison you can reach Breuil-Cervinia and take advantage of the Crétaz area. Overlooking the Matterhorn, Valtournenche (1520 m), the historic capital of the Matterhorn Valley, connects via the Cime Bianche hill to the slopes of Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt. The Valtournenche area winds through 35 km of slopes that reach an altitude of 3085 m. The skiable domaine offers slopes for both beginners and expert skiers and can be reached via a 12-seater cable car (now carrying 2400 people) departing from the town. The facilities allow you to ski over a difference in altitude of over 1500m.
Cross-country skiing
The 3 km route, surrounded by the Grandes Murailles mountain range and with the Matterhorn in the background, is varied and suitable for both beginners and experts.
Thanks to the high altitude (2,050 m), the Breuil Cervinia slope is open all winter with natural snow. It is easy to reach: located at the entrance to the city, adjacent to a large car park.
Skiers will be able to take advantage of the six-day multi-day ski pass (for the Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche area), or they will be able to have free access to both routes (Cervinia and Valtournenche, Champlève).

Ski Mountaineering
178 Alpine guides make the Aosta Valley a reference for ski mountaineering.
Ski mountaineering is a sporting activity that originated in the Alps towards the end of the 20th century. As the name suggests, it is a discipline that brings together characteristics typical of alpine skiing with others derived from mountaineering. With the advent of ski mountaineering, hikers have had access to areas previously closed to them due to too many environmental obstacles. This activity, like other winter disciplines, has also seen an ever-increasing number of enthusiasts in recent years. Ski mountaineering allows you to move in the winter mountain environment or, in any case, at high altitudes, using appropriately adapted skis for travel on snowy routes, with specific bindings to allow you to go uphill and with anti-slip systems (sealskins); downhill, then, off-piste skiing techniques are used.
Snowmobiles
Driving a snowmobile is as simple as it is exciting. You can rent it to experience an unforgettable trip immersed in nature, surrounded by the white snow. A show that awaits you even at night, accompanied by expert instructors. And for little enthusiasts, mini-snowmobiles to try on an easy and safe route, dedicated to them.
